When you think of the Nike Cortez, you think clean, crisp and bright. We’ve gone against the grain for this latest ?exclusive, bringing richer, more earthy tones to this Bill Bowerman classic from ’72 – the first to fall under the alias Nike, and the first to represent the Swoosh. Pretty iconic right?

This particular pair celebrates the Britpop scene of the ‘90s, with certain icons from the era really favouriting this trainer. Footwear heritage, musical heritage, the Nike Cortez blurs the boundaries between function and culture.

In terms of the colour, the dark hues take this shoe into a completely different space, offering a different style to opt for than the traditional ones. Suedes combine with premium leathers, while black Swooshes assert their dominance on the sidewalls. Serrated rubber soles hark back to its track function, and orange tones on the insole nod to our brand colours.

The Nike Cortez ‘Brown’ – ?exclusive draw opens 13.05.23 and closes 18.05.23. It comes in men’s and women’s, priced at £100 – good luck!

To encapsulate the shoe’s misfit energy, we teamed up with fashion designer/vintage collector Rhiannon Barry (@ninetyfly) to really capture a creative community aspect for our release. Check out the gallery of the shoot below.
