KITH founder and seasoned Clarks silhouette re-interpreter, Ronnie Fieg, lends his hand to the Maycliffe and Rossendale updating his 8th St collaboration with new colourways for A/W.
Hailing from Queens, Ronnie Fieg is one of the most prolific streetwear and footwear moguls. Shifting streetwear landscapes, the mastermind behind the KITH empire, has worked with a myriad of labels on collaborative projects, including Clarks’ Originals line, which is sought after – to no surprise.
It was the mid’90s downtown at the David Z store on Manhattan’s 8th St when streetwear visionary Fieg was inspired by the vibrant NYC shoe scene. The 8th St collection serves up timeless silhouettes fixed with sporty soles, fortified with Clarks’ meticulous craftsmanship. The collection first debuted the Lockhill and Sandford, followed by Breacon, and now the lineage continues with autumn-ready colourways of the Maycliffe and Rossendale.
Soft suede is the material of choice for both the Rossendale and Maycliffe’s uppers. Perforations ensure airflow on the latter while both models are dipped in rich green and brown tones. For the Rossendale, Fieg takes design cues from the Wallabee with a narrow profile and low-rise finish.
Sitting beneath both models is a stacked runner-inspired crepe sole that houses plush cushioning guaranteeing a comfy, grippy step. Branded touches nod to both Clarks’ heritage and Fieg’s design efforts, whilst bespoke footbeds bear further nods to the duo’s partnership.
The Clarks Originals x Ronnie Fieg 8th St collection is available at size? now.
